Just finished watching Obama on Fox. I was very disappointed. He didn't answer any questions, turned the conversation to his way. The question that I would have asked is: "With 70% of the country NOT wanting this bill, why are you moving forward with it?"

It really irks me that our elected officials refuse to listen to the people. (who they work for.) Could you imagine going to work and your boss tells you to do something, and you do the polar opposite, do you think that you would continue to have a job? I don't think so. Why do our elected officials feel that they know better than the people they work for?

The longer this legislation drones on, the more I realize these people do not feel as though they work for us. That is now they are shooting for "the Demon option" so they can have deniability. This is bull. If an official stands by and allows this to become law by saying "I didn't vote for it" But you didn't vote against it either, so you are guilty of doing nothing.

The last line of the Declaration of Independence, says it all "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor."

The problem is no one in Washington, would take this pledge. Most would not lay down their lives for the country, and therefore have no honor.

Contact your representative and tell they to vote NO for this garbage bill!

The Pens were flying for the first period last night, then they fell asleep until late in the third, where they tied it back up. 3 Over-times later, they scored the game winner. I think last night was a huge win for the Pens, and may prove to be the back breaker for Detroit. To lose in triple over-time at home in the Stanley cup finals, is going to be their undoing.

The first game of the playoffs is upon us, the Pens are ready, to come out flying. We are the underdogs again, as we were with New York and the Flyers. So that is nothing new to us. I keep hearing how the Red Wings are more experienced. That may be true, but where I come from, experienced means old.

The Pens are younger, better conditioned, and going to win in 5. That is my prediction, lets see how close I am. Put your prediction in the comments, and we'll see who is closer.

Well the Pens gave the Flyers a breath of air, but my prediction is the Pens will come home and finish them off on Saturday night. After watching the game last night the Pens looked a little flat. I think it will be a little different at home, with the folks that love them the most.

Saturday the Igloo will be rocking. This is why the playoffs in Pittsburgh are the best. The whole town is excited, and playoff talk is everywhere, even among people that will tell you they know nothing about hockey, but want Pittsburgh to take the cup.

This was a GREAT weekend for hockey. The Pens did it again, finding a way to win, against the odds, Sid's goal from the corner looked as though it had eyes. In Friday's game Malkin takes a slapshot from 15 feet away. Not to put a jinx on, but do I smell a sweep?

I have not been posting for a while, I have been working on releasing a new podcast. The details are still hush-hush, but I can tell you it is going to be cool. I hope to be able to post more often, and maybe get some podcast topics from you guys.

Manś best friend, or supposed to be. There have been a lot of dog stories in the news lately, and I´m guessing that these stories may always be there, but in light of what happened with Micheal Vick I am guessing that I have become sensitized. I have covered on this blog the Vick story and I don´t think I need to re-hash it.

So Ving Rhames has dogs that go bazerk and kill the guy taking care of them. I guess I may not be that bright but I do not feel as though I have to have mean dogs nor do I have the need to fight dogs. Dogs are pets, they are to be enjoyed, not breed for fighting or some other asinine purpose.

As messed up as Paris Hilton and Britney Spears are, they both get small dogs they can control and enjoy. Unlike the lawsuit animals Mr. Rhames now owns. I am not a fortune teller, but I see a big lawsuit in his future.

There are a lot of people that I hate, but here are the top three.

Sean Penn has been praised by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, for his opposition to the war. Chavez has a huge hatred of America, which has been evidenced, on many occasions. My hatred of Penn started when he travelled to Iraq, and proclaimed Saddam Hussein a good guy. He is such a loser, but yet he has endeared himself to the liberal left.

Johnny Depp… He is another lost soul that I hate. He has given up his country for France. All the while making the statement "I will not live in a country that would go to war." He is just another example of liberals taking advantage of the freedoms provided by our brave soldiers in the armed forces.

Last, but not least, Danny Glover. This loser has protested the war, our troops and sided with Hugo Chavez. I will not EVER watch any movie with any of these "actors" (read treasons retards). I am unsure why there have NOT been any charges of treason brought against any of these morons. Each and every one of them should drop to their knees, and thank to whatever God they pray to, that I am NOT the attorney general, or all three of them would be in court right now.

I urge you to join me in boycotting everything they do.

Social Disease

Web 2.0 has brought us many, many great things; however the one thing it brought is social networking. For example, I log on and post to Pownce, which also shows up on Jaiku. In the meantime I am checking Digg, and facebook, while sending out invites for linkedin. I think I have finally reached the point where I can no longer do this. I do like the social aspect of the new internet, but I think it gets out of hand very easily.

How many people do you have to have in your "network" in order for you to be cool? 50? 100? 1000? In my opinion, if you have two, you are lucky. The bottom line is, you have to have friends, you have everything. Let's have some fun… See if you can find and add me to YOUR social network.

Michael Vick's friend, Tony Taylor has cut a deal with prosecutors' to lay out the entire goings on at The 'Bad Newz Kennels'. Apparently everything that was reported, and cited in the indictment was correct. Vick and the rest of his crew were charged with to conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities, and conspiring to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture.

The thing I can't understand is, how a star the magnitude of Vick can stoop to something so vile and repugnant. He is a multi-millionaire, and now it appears he has thrown all of that away. The Atlanta Falcons had forgiven him many things. Giving the finger to the crowd, bad mouthing other players, and so on. It looks like he has finally done something they cannot forgive. (and they shouldn't)

These celebrities need to learn that they are NOT above the law. The time has come to crackdown on all of these prima donnas. Vick's crime is far more heinous, than Paris Hilton's driving with a suspended license. I applaud the NFL for taking a stand, the sponsors for dropping him, and the fans for backing their decision. What he did is nothing short of pure evil, killing animals for sport is just wrong.

With Vick being a hero to kids all over the country, part of the sentence needs to be that he makes public speeches denouncing dog fighting, before he is sent to prison. He is NOT the role model that everyone thought he would be.

It’s Steeler time

The Steelers have completed the first week of training camp. Camp Cowher is closed, and Tomlin Training is open. (Just trying that one out, not sure if it will stick, but better than nothing.) So far camp has been pretty uneventful. With the exception of Lawrence Timmons, re-aggravating a groin injury he sustained in collage. Six days from now the Steelers will be playing the Saints in the Hall of Fame game in Canton Ohio.

That means in 6 days football seasons begins. I (as well as the rest of Pittsburgh) am ready for football season to begin. As a big sports fan, the beginning of football season is something I look forward to, as soon as the previous season ends. I know, living in the burgh, that we still have the Pirates. My question is, does anyone else have a hard time getting behind the Bucs? I am not asking for a pennant run, but a winning season would be nice. The Pens continue to perform well.

Saturday Afternoon Post

I am sitting on my porch in my little corner of Pittsburgh, and taking time to reflect on things that I have seen in my life. I saw the first time a man walked on the moon. I saw my Steelers win five world championships. I saw the birth of the home computer and the revolution of the internet. Of all of these great things that I have witnessed, there are more that cannot be explained.

For example, the use of steroids in professional sports, whether it is wrestling or baseball. The use of these performance enhancing drugs is beyond me. Why someone would potentially risk their health, not to mention their life, in order to compete in a game. Have there been no lessons learned? Have people like Lyle Alzado died in vain?

Now we sit waiting for Barry Bonds to break Hank Aaron's record I must wonder, what the originals would have to say. What I am trying to say is, how would Babe Ruth feel, that a man with more at bats and "chemically enhanced" beat him for hitting home runs. When the Babe did it, seasons were shorter, the balls were not wrapped as tight, and Babe's performance enhancing drug of choice was beer.

Fast forward to the present, Barry Bonds began his career in Pittsburgh, so I had the opportunity to see him in person as part of the "Killer B's" with Bobby Bonilla, at that time Barry was a great athlete. However after he left Pittsburgh he hit an unnatural growth spurt. I don't think that after you are twenty-five your head would grow that much. In any case, I don't think that his name should EVER be mentioned in the same breath as Ruth or Aaron, as they did it the hard way, with guts and talent, and no artificial additives.

Don't put him into Cooperstown unless it is with an asterisk.

As I write this, I am excited about the prospects I have with my podcast. Between that and some other ventures I have going on, I am very excited. This is a great time to be involved in technology. Not sure how to market this stuff, but if no one watches or listens, I don't care. The object is I plan on having fun, I will continue to create pod/vidcasts.

Well kids, she did it again. Lindsay got busted DUI, and ran back to rehab, if she is found guilty of all the current charges against her she could face up to 6 years. The maximum sentence she faced for the original DUI and hit and run charges was 6 months for each.

Last night, Lindsay was charged with another DUI -- if convicted of both DUIs, she could face up to one year in jail. She was also charged with possession of cocaine, which is a felony and carries a maximum of three years in jail.

Lohan is accused of driving on a suspended license as well, which carries a maximum of one year in jail. Not to mention, she was just vetoed for a movie with Shirley Maclain, because no one would bond the movie.

Hopefully this will be the last time I have to post anything about Lindsay.

For example, at his daughter's wedding, he served Chilean sea bass, a fish that is dangerously close to being on the endangered species list. Then on top of that his rocket scientist son, gets busted speeding, with 140 Vicodin. Not to mention the other drugs. After the $20,000.00 bail, Al's offspring has done him proud.

Thoughts on global warming...

Al Gore, the man that invented the most complicated global communication system ever, the Internet. I imagine his work on the internet being done, and he has focused all of his energy, to fixing global warming. This pinhead as aligned himself with the same scientists that during the 80's were claiming we were on our way to another ice age. No one has bothered to point this out.
Al, you ignorant prick, I hope you are planning on running on the green platform as I am sick of Ralph Nader running again. While it appears that you have the ability to convince rock stars (who are widely known for their intelligence) into performing for your global concerts. It is nice that they want to take up and support a cause, like U2. U2 has taken up a cause to feed to Africa. Willy Nelson, still has the Farm Aid concerts to support farmers. Al's pals are supporting a cause that cannot be proved. But that is the hot, chic cause, even though many scientists say that the thought of global warming is wrong. This sounds very similar to the tirade that his wife, Tipper started the PMRC. That is all for now…

Restricting the Internet, Restricts Innovation.

Innovation that has occurred on the internet is a result of have "the tubes" open to everyone. Why does the Federal government feel like it needs to be involved in something they clearly don't understand, as evidenced by Ted Steven's' tirade.

America claims to be in the freedom business (See Afghanistan and Iraq) but apparently that does not apply to American's living in America. Currently American experience a slower internet speed than the rest of the world. Cable companies offer one half of what you can get in Japan.

This tirade is EXACTLY why we need an open internet. It gives the "regular" people in US the ability to write to our government. Send an email, read that joke and so on.

The internet is about freedom. Let's keep it that way!

Has the world gone crazy? I know I usually do something political here, but after seeing this... I actually have no words...

TMZ has learned more about the deaths of WWE wrestling superstar Chris Benoit, his wife and son -- and the information is extremely disturbing. Several Atlanta-based law enforcement sources have told TMZ Benoit may have strangled his wife on Saturday, then smothered his son in his bed a day later.

Investigators refuse to officially comment, pending final confirmation by the coroner on the cause and time of the deaths. The source told TMZ that Benoit was texting friends during Sunday's WWE "Vengeance" Pay-Per-View program -- possibly watching the show with his son, who may have been alive at the time. According to sources, Benoit then hanged himself Monday in a weight room inside the family home.

Stop Ted Stevens

There are only 21 days left before the Senate will vote on the Net Neutrality bill. If you don't understand everything about This bill, that is OK. It looks like our legislators have been trying to get this bill in under the radar.

The only way that innovation can come about is to have the internet open to everyone. Unless you are considering reinstating segregation. Which is what you would be doing....

Only the rich, or well to do would be able to experience the total internet, while the less affluent, could only afford what is left.

This is not right. The FCC would have control only in the US. Ask the proponents of online gambling how well that is working out. It is not.

The internet is not now, nor ever been the business of the federal government. The DHS can't figure out how to secure it's computers, but you are going to figure out what is best for the internet.

It is a bad idea, so odds are you will pass it anyway, as normally happens with all bad legislation.

Iraq is a quagmire… NOT!

The far left is at it again. The problem comes from our elected officals kicking our troops in the head. Speaking as a veteran, our goal is to win at any cost. That is our mission. However, the liberal left wants to cut and run, at the same time saying they support our troops.

Our former president (Slick Willy), gave the terrorists the blue-print how to beat us during the campaign in Somalia. If they wait long enough, the government will pull us out, because they don't have the stomach for it.

They only way you can compare Iraq to Viet-Nam, is that Hanoi Jane Fonda is protesting against it. (Follow this link) I cannot understand how she, and John Kerry are not in prison. Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the Pledge of Allegiance on them. However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge, "Under God." Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone.

In that case, we don't want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office, either.

So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended when they don't receive our money that has the words "In God We Trust" on it.

IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the politically correct crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.

I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.

We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become parrot our society, learn the language!

"In God We Trust"; is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it n the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.

If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom,

This is truly disgusting.... It is a story of a soldier in Iraq that received letters from school children, blasting him and the rest of our brave men and women, saying that they are attacking holy places and killing civilians. Click here . This is beyond disgusting. The children as part of a social studies project sent these letters to our troops. Where did the children get these ideas from? The school? The parents? In either case what should be taught to these kids is... What a bad person Saddam Hussain was, how Saddam supported terrorism, and how Muslim extremists attacked us on 9-11.

Parents who never had the guts, to defend this country, are the same ones who attack our soldiers. They are cowards. If you would ever have had the guts to lace up a pair of combat boots, and put yourself in harms way, then you have earned the right to critisize the choices made by the president. Until then, why not try to help your children by preventing them from being a liberal pussy, like yourself.

I can't understand how the media keeps saying Iraq is a quagmire. I mean we said we were going to turn over sovereignty, and we did. We said there were going to be free elections, and there were. Everything we said we would do was done, on or before schedule. Yes it is a tough job, but our military is up to the task.

I receive numerous emails, from Soldiers and Marines that are stationed in Iraq. The question that they ask in almost every letter is... "Why does the news keep lying about us?" The answer is sad but very simple... It is too hard for them to admit when they are wrong. (ask Dan Rather) From the onset, the liberal media blasted the President for use of military force. Actors like Sean Penn went to Iraq, and came back claiming what a great guy Saddam was. After the elections... Where is Mr. Penn? Or Martin Sheen, Susan Sarrandon, et al? Trying to figure out how to admit they were wrong. We won't even get in to Micheal Moore.

So next time you are watching the evening news... Let this thought run through your mind as they start to comment on the days events in Iraq. Ask yourself... "When are they going to admit they were wrong?"

For good and ill, the Iraqi prisoner abuse mess will remain an issue -- On the one hand right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of the actions while on the other hand political glee will take control
and fashion this minor event into some modern day My Lai massacre. I heard some Arabs are asking for an apology. I humbly offer mine here:

1. I am sorry that the last seven times Americans took up arms and sacrificed the blood of our youth it was in the defense of Muslims. (Bosnia, Kosovo, Gulf War 1, Kuwait, etc.)

2. I am sorry that no such call for an apology from the extremists came after 9/11. I am sorry that all of the murderers on 9/11 were Arabs.

3. I am sorry that Arabs have to live in squalor under savage dictatorships. I am sorry that their leaders squander their wealth.

4. I am sorry that their governments breed hate for the USA in their religious schools.

5. I am sorry that Yasir Arafat was kicked out of every Arab country and high jacked the Palestinian "cause." I am sorry that no other Arab country will take in or offer more than a token amount of financial help to those same Palestinians.

6. I am sorry that the USA has to step in and be the biggest financial supporters of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs blame the USA.

7. I am sorry that our own left wing elite and our media can't understand any of this.

8. I am sorry the United Nations scammed the poor people of Iraq out of the "food for oil" money so they could get rich while the common folk suffered.

9. I am sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide bombers upon their death. I am sorry that those same bombers are seeking 72 virgins. I can't seem to find one here on earth.

10. I am sorry that the homicide bombers think babies are a legitimate target.

17. I am sorry they didn't apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade Center that collapsed and severely damaged St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - one of OUR Holy Sites.

18. I am sorry they didn't apologize for flights 93 and 175, the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, etc.

19. I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized village in Africa.

20. I am sorry the French are... French.

America will get past this latest absurdity. We will punish those responsible because that's what we do. We hang out our dirty laundry for all the world to see. We move on. That's why we are hated so much. We don't hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are now demanding an apology.

Deep down inside, when most Americans saw this reported in the news we were like... so what? We lost hundreds and made fun of a few prisoners. Sure it was wrong, sure it dramatically hurts our cause but until they were captured we were trying to kill these same prisoners. Now we're supposed to wring our hands because a few were humiliated? Our compassion is tempered with the vivid memories of our own people killed, mutilated and burnt amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating Fallujans.

If you want an apology from this American you're gonna have a long wait. You have a better chance of finding those 72 virgins.

Micheal Moore has conspiracy on the brain. According to Moore, everything that happens in the world is President Bushes fault. Mike… If you would have the brain God gave a monkey, you could have, I don’t know… Picked up a newspaper and discovered that the date for the Spiderman release was in print since December of last year. But then again you were in such a big hurry to get your piece of shit movie released you never stopped to think about the Spiderman premiere a week later. Then again I guess President Bush contacted the distributors and made sure it was released on time.

The other sad thing is all of you liberal; loser drones will believe your conspiracy theory. Mr. Moore, you need to wake up and understand that:
#1 the world does NOT revolve around you.
#2 everyone that has a brain and can think for themselves HATE you.

My advise to you is take the $20 million that you SCAMMED off of these drones that actually believe that you created a documentary. (My mother told me NOT to take advantage of the retarded, but you must not have observed that lesson.) We don't know about anything that's happening outside our country. Our stupidity is embarrassing.” What is truly “embarrassing” is that Moore feels he is the spokesman for this country. This loser has a total distain for this country.

We have troops in harms way and this piece of trash had the nerve to say ''The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'The Enemy.' They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win.” This is a slap in the face of the Coalition troops that have done a miraculous job in Iraq. These comments border on treason.

Not only that, but Predators had spotted Bin Laden in Kandahar, and the CIA was waiting for the “GO” order from the White House that NEVER came. At least had Clinton given the go order there was a chance we could have gotten him.

Something to think about...

Have YOU forgotten?
Shortly after the horrific attacks on 9-11, the media felt as though they needed to stop showing the images of 9-11, because it is to “disturbing”. They are right, it is disturbing; however they should show it everyday, for nothing else but to remind this country why we are at war. A war against terrorists. The liberal left wants to make you think it is because of oil. They must not remember the four airliners, but I do.

The second American has been be-headed. This is another image that the American people need to see everyday. Then when the left start whining about the “atrocities” in “grab-an-Arab” prison, the argument should be… We humiliated them, we scared them, they cut our guys heads off. How wrong were we?

There is a liberal protest group called ANSWER. (Act Now Stop War & End Racism). These are fundamentalists, which are every bit as rabid as the terrorists that we are fighting. They are so “locked on” to their doctrine that they refuse to acknowledge what is truly happening. These animals are cutting American’s heads off; did ANSWER even mention it on their website? Nope, not a word.

The media needs to quit thinking for me. Televise what is “disturbing”, so that these losers will understand what the whole thing is about. They may say that Nick Berg was killed because he was in Iraq. What about Paul Johnson? These animals cut off his head and put it on his back. Then they took the knife and rested it against the severed head. Is this graphic? Does it make you angry?

Why was Paul Johnson killed? He was simply an American, just like you and me, getting up everyday and going to work. He was targeted because he was an American. He was not in Iraq, but in Saudi Arabia. That means these terrorists feel as though they can attack Americans anywhere. Lots of folks involved in answer are very affluent; will they be traveling outside the country anytime soon? I bet not.

These are NOT militants, they are terrorists. Here are some definitions:

Militant: Extremely active in the defense or support of a cause, often in ways that other people find unacceptable.

Terrorist: Somebody who uses violence or the threat of violence, especially bombing, kidnapping, and assassination, to intimidate, often for political purposes.

It seems to me that no one has explained to the editors of CNN what the difference in these words are. Then again CNN has always been one of the liberal "heads" of the media. In fact after the attacks on 9-11, CNN stated that the attackers were not going to be referred to as terrorists, but as alleged terrorists.

But then again, what do you expect from them? It was founded by Ted Turner, who actually had the balls to marry Hanoi Jane Fonda.
